Technical resources
At StarWords we use an evolutionary integrated management system developed in-house that enables us to thoroughly monitor the progress of a job, from the initial price quotation until the final delivery to the client.
The automatic stages when selecting translators/proofreaders from our internal management system are:
- Language combination
- Specialisation
- Subjects and secondary fields
- Client (if the translator has already worked with the client for other similar jobs).
When the selection stages have been completed‚ we determine a number of translators/proofreaders who meet the required criteria, a number of dictionaries and reference materials relating to the language combination, the specialisation‚ the subject or other fields and the client, which are all catalogued in the document database included in our management software.
This way of organizing also enables us to produce quotations‚ job orders, follow-up spreadsheets, translations‚ revisions, formatting and the complete statistics of each job, etc...
We are also able to inform you immediately regarding the status of your translation, or retrieve an old job if you so require. We determine the delivery date and monitor all aspects of the job, its management, invoicing, cost and classification, and manage the delivery times of each job via daily lists of ongoing files to be delivered that day, the next day or the next week by using the search and storage system in our management software.
Our work complies with the ISO 9002 standards, which permits a complete control and monitoring of each file and a strict selection of the translator and proofreader involved in each job according to the evolution and diagnosis made by the project manager.
